The Bengali Collection

A Bengali collection has been established at the Central Square Branch Library. The collection contains books, weekly newspapers, videocassettes, and magazines in Bengali, and books about Bangladesh and India in English. The Bengali books consist of classic and contemporary works of fiction, poetry, memoir, and history. The collection is a cooperative venture of the Cambridge Public Library and the local Bengali-speaking community. The Library is grateful to the Bengali community for its help in selecting and cataloging the books, and for the many generous donations that augment the collection.
